Student Representative Application Packet

Greetings,

Interested in shaping the future of the university?

Make a difference and serve your fellow students by applying to become the next Student Representative to the Truman State University Board of Governors.  The Student Representative plays a vital role in the protection and advancement of student interests by regularly consulting with the Board of Governors, the University's highest policy-making body, as well as many other members of the University community.

As the sole student on the Board, it has been my responsibility to represent the student opinion - your opinion - on any issue brought before the Board of Governors, the highest governing body at Truman.  If you are selected for this position, you will help shape University policies on issues such as tuition and student fees, University personnel, and renovation projects.

It has been my honor serving you as the Student Representative, and I would highly encourage you to apply.  Applications are due 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009.

It is only when you speak up that the voice of the students is heard, so please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions, comments, and ideas at cody@truman.edu.
